Russian Attacks On Ukraine Leave Multiple Dead

In a series of recent attacks in Ukraine, Russian missile strikes killed three individuals in the central Poltava region. Ukrainian authorities reported that these casualties were nighttime employees at a vegetable oil factory in the Myrhorod district, which was visibly ablaze during the strike, as evidenced by photographs. The fire was subsequently brought under control.

Ihor Klymenko, the Interior Minister, informed that of the people affected by the strike, five sustained injuries while another was missing. Andriy Yermak, the Presidential Chief of Staff, highlighted the tragic loss of the workers due to the missile attack.

Elsewhere in Ukraine, Oleksandr Prokudin, the governor of the southern Kherson region, reported that a 63-year-old woman lost her life in a shelling incident in the village of Sadove. Another individual, a man in Toretsk in the eastern Donetsk region, was fatally struck by shelling while he was outside his residence.

Details from the Ukrainian military disclosed that Russia initiated four missile launches from the Black Sea at night. The Ukrainian defense managed to intercept and neutralize two of these missiles.

Moreover, there have been accounts of intense shelling by Russia in Marhanets near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power station they control. This assault left four residents injured. Similarly, the northern Sumy region experienced shelling in nine different areas, wounding three people.
Kryvyi Rih region also faced a missile attack, which damaged several private residences, although there were no reports of any casualties.
These updates, while detailed, have not been externally verified. Russia, which initiated a massive military campaign in Ukraine a year and a half prior, remained silent on these events.

Additionally, Ukraine conveyed its recent military achievement on Monday, stating that its forces had successfully reclaimed the southeastern settlement of Robotyne. Their armed forces are continuing their efforts to move further south to repel the Russian occupying forces.
Previous attacks in Toretsk took place, on August 10th Russian strikes injured six individuals, as confirmed by the Donetsk Oblast Prosecutor’s Office.

Mortars and three aerial bombs hit the city.

One incident saw a 47-year-old male cyclist injured due to the resultant explosion. Another assault on the city occurred about an hour afterward, where shrapnel injured a 59-year-old man who was outdoors.

Later in the day, a further attack injured four women aged 53 to 73. While two women were injured within their residences, the other two sustained injuries while they were in the town’s central area, the prosecutor’s report added.
