(PatrioticPost.com)- While China has yet to officially comply with Russia’s request for military assistance in Ukraine, the country’s propaganda machine is still working overtime – and last week, China slammed NATO forces as hypocritical.
After NATO called on China to condemn the “brutal invasion” of Ukraine by Russia, China responded by accusing NATO forces of engaging in similar actions…despite the fact that NATO exists to stop brutal, bloody, and unnecessary wars.
“Chinese people can fully relate to the pains and sufferings of other countries because we will never forget who had bombed our embassy in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia,” the Chinese diplomatic mission in the European Union said in a statement.
The statement said that China will not be lectured to by abusers of international law, seemingly referring to the United States.
“As a Cold War remnant and the world’s largest military alliance, NATO continues to expand its geographical scope and range of operations. What kind of role has it played in world peace and stability? NATO needs to have good reflection,” the statement continued.
Obviously, it’s propaganda. Every statement from the Chinese Communist Party is propaganda. NATO being the biggest military alliance – designed to unify several countries to ensure that they do not go to war with one another – means it has the ability to prevent wars like this by expanding the number of countries within its bloc. China doesn’t like that.
Nonetheless, China found an obscure military operation that occurred as part of a CIA mission to justify not condemning Russia’s brutal and unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. The bombing references took place in Belgrade in May 1999. It resulted in the deaths of three Chinese journalists and 20 other Chinese civilians were also injured.
American military personnel targeted the building because it was not only on the same street as a Yugoslav military building, but because the building was transmitting Yugoslav army communications. China’s claim that the United States simply targeted Chinese civilians, therefore, is wrong.
All this means is that China won’t be condemning Russia any time soon…but nobody honestly expected that anyway.
