California Democrat Maxine Waters has sparked outrage by suggesting President Trump should consider deporting his wife Melania before implementing his hardline immigration policies. Her comments, inflammatory as ever, have enraged conservatives and revealed her deep desire to find any way to get her political enemies out of the country.

• Waters questioned the documentation status of Melania’s parents, who became citizens in 2018
• Trump’s birthright citizenship Executive Order is currently paused by federal courts
Waters’ Shocking Attack on First Lady Melania
Representative Maxine Waters launched a personal attack on First Lady Melania Trump during a rally protesting changes to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The California Democrat suggested President Trump should consider deporting his own wife before implementing his stricter immigration policies.
Waters specifically targeted the First Lady, who legally immigrated to the United States and obtained citizenship through proper channels. Her outburst demonstrates the desperate tactics Democrats are willing to employ as they oppose President Trump’s efforts to secure our borders.
Her comments make no sense, though – because the First Lady is here legally.
During her inflammatory speech, Waters said, “If he wants to start looking so closely to find those who were born here and their parents were undocumented, maybe he ought to first look at Melania.” This personal attack on the Trump family comes as the administration works to enforce immigration laws that have long been neglected by previous administrations.
Legal Immigrant vs. Illegal Entry: The Double Standard
Unlike the illegal immigrants Waters is defending, Melania Trump immigrated to the United States legally through a visa for individuals with “extraordinary ability.” The First Lady followed all proper procedures to obtain her citizenship, making Waters’ comments not only inappropriate but factually misleading.
“When he [Trump] talks about birthright, and he’s going to undo the fact that the Constitution allows those who are born here, even if the parents are undocumented, they have a right to stay in America,” Waters said during her tirade.
Doesn’t she understand that Trump is ending illegal immigration? How many times does he have to explain this to her?
Waters also questioned the documentation status of Melania’s parents, who became U.S. citizens in 2018 after their daughter sponsored them for green cards. This attack comes despite the fact that family sponsorship is a legal pathway to citizenship that the Trump family followed correctly.
Is it any wonder that the Democrats’ approval ratings lately have hit record lows?
