Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan is bringing the hammer down on employers of illegal immigrants with an aggressive new plan. Homan intends to conduct 200 worksite inspections per week to ensure employers comply with the law.
At a glance:
• Tom Homan plans to conduct 200 worksite inspections weekly as part of Trump administration’s immigration crackdown
• The strategy marks a dramatic shift from Biden’s more lenient workplace enforcement policies
• Employers who hire illegal immigrants often pay them less and avoid training American workers
• Worksites are identified as prime locations for human trafficking, which reportedly increased 600% under Biden
• Companies are being encouraged to replace illegal workers with properly documented ones to avoid prosecution
Homan Launches Aggressive Worksite Enforcement Strategy
President Donald Trump’s Border Enforcement Czar Tom Homan is not wasting any time cracking down on illegal immigration at its economic source – and ensuring employers aren’t helping illegals stay here. The administration is dramatically ramping up worksite enforcement of immigration laws, targeting employers who don’t care about the law.
“I ordered a vast increase in work enforcement … We’ve got a plan right now [of] 200 worksites a week,” Homan told Breitbart News on March 8. “Better [for companies] to get square of the law than us to take action.”
Why couldn’t the Biden administration do that?
The enforcement plan represents a complete reversal from the Biden administration’s approach, which had largely abandoned worksite enforcement. According to the National Law Review, this shift could lead to the most aggressive immigration enforcement environment in recent American history.

Protecting American Workers and Wages
Homan’s enforcement push aims to address how illegal immigration has harmed American workers. The massive influx of migrants during the Biden years has depressed wages, increased housing costs, and reduced economic productivity across multiple sectors.
Employers hire illegal immigrants because “they can pay them less, work them harder, and undercut their [law abiding] competition,” Homan said, but the Trump administration is now encouraging businesses to proactively replace illegal workers with those having proper work authorization.
Cracking Down on Human Trafficking
Beyond the economic impacts, Homan emphasized the humanitarian aspects of worksite enforcement. Workplaces employing illegal immigrants are often hotbeds for exploitation and human trafficking.
Worksites are “the number one place [where] we find victims of trafficking,” Homan explained. “The Biden administration stopped it, and that’s why trafficking went sky high — 600% increase in trafficking.”
The administration’s approach has already led to legal action against non-compliant businesses. A Texas bakery recently faced felony charges following a raid that revealed the company had knowingly employed illegal immigrants for years.
Trump said he’d make this happen, and boy is he keeping that promise.
