(PatrioticPost.com)- While the Democrats claim that President Donald Trump intends to “steal” the November presidential election, the Trump administration is looking at additional measures to ensure voter fraud doesn’t occur. During an interview on Fox News on Thursday, President Trump said that he intends to deploy law enforcement officers and resources to ensure that the election is free and fair.
And he’s doing this not to appease the Democrats, by the way. He’s doing this because the Democrats have spent much of this year pushing for universal mail-in voting that would make it easier for people to commit voter fraud in the states that allow it.
President Trump told Fox that the 2020 election will be the “most fraudulent election in history” if the Democrats get their way.
Fox News host Sean Hannity asked President Trump if he intends to install poll watchers, or establish “an ability to monitor, to avoid fraud and cross-check whether or not these are registered voters.”
“We’re going to have everything,” President Trump responded. “We’re going to have sheriffs and we’re going to have law enforcement and we’re going to have hopefully, U.S. attorneys, and we’re going to have everybody, and attorney generals. But it’s very hard.”
President Trump also discussed issues in New Jersey and Nevada where he believes there could be room for fraud, particularly with mail-in voting.
“I mean, you have some of these states sending them out like Nevada where they don’t even have to check signatures so anybody can sign it,” he said. That means ballot papers and ballot paper applications are being sent out to homes listed on the state’s voter rolls, and without signature checks, it’s possible for anybody to send paperwork back to confirm their identity and ability to vote. It could result in bad actors responding to communication with election officials fraudulently, resulting in the issuance of ballot papers.
Democrats might laugh off the idea of having people watching ballot counters, but it’s a common practice all over the West. In the United Kingdom, ballot watchers are commonplace. In every election, all candidates, their agents, and other officials are allowed to watch as every single vote is counted. Any questionable vote is stacked up on a pile and candidates given a chance to review them to ensure the election is fair.
Police are also in attendance. So before the Democrats try and say this is an overreach, let’s remind them that this is a common practice in the United Kingdom – one of the United States’ most important allies.
