(PatrioticPost.com)- Even after leaving the White House, former President Donald Trump is being forced to fight against extremist Democrats looking to smear Republicans and further tarnish his name.
On Tuesday, lawyers representing the former president asked an appeals court to protect records about his conversations and actions before the January 6 riot in Washington D.C. The far-left, ultra-partisan House Select Committee that claims to be “investigating” the origins of the January 6 riots has requested the documents as part of a fishing exercise, designed to dig up anything that they can use as a weapon against Trump.
The United States Court of Appeals for D.C. heard oral arguments from Trump’s lawyers on the plot to paint the former president as an orchestrator of the riot – a claim which is already provably false.
The Democrats know that Trump literally told violent protesters to go home on January 6, right?
The House Committee in question has requested that the National Archives hands over everything from phone records and written communications between advisors to visitor logs at the White House, in an effort to prove that Trump organized the riot.
However, evidence also shows that the rioters consisted of both left-wing and right-wing activists. Some have also speculated that rioters were encouraged to break into the Capitol Building by a state agent.
A man by the name of Ray Epps was caught on camera repeatedly telling people to “go inside” of the Capitol Building, which prompted many protesters to begin shouting “FED! FED! FED!” AT THE MAN.
When approached in October and asked whether he was working as a federal informant, Ray Epps fled.

What does that tell you?
It’s not clear what will happen with the Trump lawsuit, but there is no doubt that if the panel rules against the president then this case will end up at the Supreme Court.
What kind of precedent does it set if the National Archives can just release sensitive information based on inaccurate, baseless, and politically-motivated accusations?
