Trump Enemy Quitting Congress

( So-called “Republican” Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois announced on Friday that he won’t be seeking re-election next year, presumably knowing very well that he’s unlikely to win the Republican nomination given his widely-condemned decision to vote to impeach former President Donald Trump.

Kinzinger was one of only 10 Republicans who chose to side with the Democrats partisan farce and vote to impeach Trump in January.

Trump celebrated Kinzinger’s announcement, citing the news that Rep. Anthony Gonzalez of Ohio also announced that he won’t be running again, in a statement that read “2 down, 8 to go!”

Kinzinger tried to pass off his disappointment in not having the faith of his party to do his job as some kind of positive news, writing, “Looking forward to the next chapter!”

He added that he is disappointed in Republican leadership, and also complained about how both parties have become so partisan, saying that they appeal only to the “most motivated and most extreme elements” in both.

What he didn’t recognize, however, is that the huge amount of support former President Trump has amassed is not a result of half of the American public supporting extreme politics, but a reaction to the extreme policies of the Democratic Party advocated over at least the last decade.

“Dehumanizing each other has become the norm,” he said in his video post – which is rich, coming from somebody who voted to impeach Trump based on demonstrable lies from the Democratic party.

He insisted that the news was not the end of his political future, but only the beginning…

So who knows, maybe he’ll run as a Democrat next time, or he’ll make a short-lived run for the GOP presidential nomination…
