(PatrioticPost.com)- Fox News conservative firebrand Tomi Lahren had a lot to say about Portland, Oregon, this week. The Fox Nation host appeared on “Fox & Friends First” on Wednesday describing the lawlessness that continues in the city, following a year of extraordinary violence from left-wing activists, and said it was time for the Democrats to own the crisis.
Lahren said that Democrats should also own the fact that Americans feel less safe – and it’s not hard to see why. Portland saw some of the worst violence during the Black Lives Matter riots of 2020, with several hundred consecutive nights of violence in the city that saw left-wing radicals throwing explosives at the local courthouse and even at police officers.
And it’s still ongoing.
Lahren said that this wasn’t a case of a peaceful movement about social justice being “hijacked,” either, adding that it was “always about chaos and anarchy.”
“Portland is what happens when you let the Democrats get every item on their radical wish list,” she said.

Lahren’s comments come after The Washington Post reported on the rise in violent crime in Portland, and how anarchists “hijacked” the social justice movement.
That is…absolutely not what happened.
Homicides in Portland have been rising every year since 2016. This year is already on pace to reach an all-time high, with 34 murders committed through May 26. 56 occurred last year, which was already an increase of 21 over 2019.
Lahren said that the Democrats had a hand to play in the Portland “mayhem” and “chaos” and that they are now stepping back, looking at the damage, and wondering how it happened. She said that the party is going to have to deal with the fact that outbreaks of lawlessness are repeatedly occurring in Democrat-run cities.
