Time Magazine Gave Better Coverage To China’s Communist President Than Trump

(PatrioticPost.com)- Remember how unfavorable TIME Magazine was to President Donald Trump? No matter the good he did, no matter the peace deals he drew up with the Middle East and Israel, TIME just wasn’t interested in painting him in a positive light.

So imagine the surprise of millions of Americans when the famous magazine spoke positively about Chinese authoritarian President Xi Jinping during a “100 Most Influential People” list, and negatively about former President Donald Trump.

President Xi’s entry in the list was accompanied by an article written by Mongolian politician Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, in which he pays respect to the Chinese president while politely disagreeing with the Chinese policy of “assimilation.” The piece at least acknowledged that the Chinese Communist Party was technically committing rights abuses, but stopped short of describing how Uighur Muslims in the country are literally being forced into concentration camps where they are abused and used for slave labor.

“First, President Xi loves his county and his people dearly,” the politician writes. He then goes on to say how pleased he was to be invited by Xi to China for a state visit.

Contrast this with the piece about Trump and…well, it’s shocking.

TIME editor Nancy Gibbs wrote a typically negative and insulting piece about the president, claiming how in 2021, he has “surpassed Nixon as a menace to the Constitution.”

Well, first off, that’s wrong. Secondly – really? President Xi gets better coverage than President Trump?

Gibbs wrongly claims that American democracy is struggling to catch its breath and that Trump’s “only rule is ruthlessness,” whereby he sees “norms as opportunities for vandalism.”

That’s a convoluted left-wing way of saying President Trump was willing to do things no other politician has done in the interest of the American people.

What’s so bad about that?
