The Atlantic’s Sob Story COLLAPSES – MS-13!

The media’s sob story about the “wrongfully deported Maryland father” just collapsed when conservative commentator Liz Wheeler revealed what the Atlantic left out: the sympathetic family man they portrayed is allegedly an MS-13 gang member with the motto “Kill, rape, control.”

Atlantic’s Immigration Tear-Jerker Turns MS-13 Horror Story

The mainstream media loves nothing more than a good immigration sob story to make Americans feel guilty about wanting secure borders. The Atlantic’s recent piece about a supposedly “wrongfully deported” Maryland father named Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia fits their narrative perfectly – except for one massive problem.

According to conservative commentator Liz Wheeler, they conveniently omitted that Garcia isn’t just some innocent family man caught in bureaucratic red tape, but allegedly a member of one of the most violent gangs in the Western Hemisphere: MS-13.

The Atlantic’s article pulled at heartstrings by claiming the Trump administration mistakenly deported Garcia to El Salvador despite his protected legal status, landing him in a notorious Salvadoran prison. They even had the audacity to cite a court filing where the administration supposedly acknowledged the deportation was a “mistake.” The piece paints Garcia as yet another victim of Trump’s supposedly cruel immigration policies – a convenient narrative as November’s election approaches.

Wheeler Calls Out Media’s Immigration Playbook

Wheeler didn’t mince words when dissecting what she sees as a deliberate pattern in how immigration stories are presented to the American public. She methodically dismantled The Atlantic’s portrayal, pointing out how this case exemplifies the media’s standard operating procedure when covering immigration enforcement actions. The supposed victim, according to Wheeler’s account, entered the country illegally in 2011 and was subsequently identified as a flight risk and public safety threat by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Wheeler didn’t stop there. She emphasized that Garcia had been given final deportation orders, yet those orders were never carried out under the Biden administration. This highlights a critical point in the immigration debate: the stark difference between Trump’s enforcement-focused approach and Biden’s far more lenient policies that have resulted in the border crisis we’re experiencing today. The media portrays enforcement as cruel while ignoring the real public safety implications of allowing gang members to remain in American communities.

MS-13: Not Your Average Community Organizers

For those unfamiliar with MS-13, this isn’t some misunderstood group of troubled youth. This is a transnational criminal organization with a motto that tells you everything you need to know about their values: “Kill, rape, control.” These are the people the Biden administration is effectively protecting with its lax border policies. These are the individuals that sympathetic media portrayals try to rebrand as misunderstood victims of an overzealous immigration system.

And yet, this narrative fits perfectly with how media outlets like The Atlantic approach immigration. They consistently attempt to portray every enforcement action as cruel and unnecessary, conveniently leaving out crucial details that might justify deportations. This selective storytelling doesn’t just mislead readers – it actively works to undermine legitimate immigration enforcement efforts that keep American communities safe. It’s no coincidence these stories ramp up during election years when immigration becomes a key voting issue.

The Real Victims of Lax Immigration Enforcement

While The Atlantic and other left-leaning outlets shed tears for alleged gang members, they show remarkably little concern for the actual victims of violent crime committed by those who shouldn’t be in the country in the first place. Americans who have lost loved ones to criminal aliens don’t get sympathetic feature stories. Communities devastated by gang violence don’t receive in-depth profiles examining how failed immigration policies contributed to their suffering. The media’s selective compassion is telling.

This case highlights the stark contrast between Trump’s emphasis on enforcement and deportation of dangerous individuals versus the Biden administration’s apparent reluctance to execute final deportation orders. When media outlets like The Atlantic attempt to stir up outrage over deportations without providing full context, they’re not practicing journalism – they’re engaging in political activism that prioritizes narrative over truth. Wheeler’s exposure of these tactics serves as a reminder that when it comes to immigration reporting, Americans would be wise to look beyond the headline for the facts that conveniently get left on the cutting room floor.
