(PatrioticPost.com)- Republican Senator for Texas Ted Cruz hit out at President Joe Biden’s controversial nominee to take over the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives during a speech on the Senate floor.
David Chipman is controversial for a lot of reasons. He has previously indicated his support for restricting American citizens’ access to guns and curtailing the Second Amendment, but that wasn’t the reason Cruz hit out at him this time…it was for racist comments made against Black ATF agents.
Chipman is accused of making racist comments about ATF agents and that he failed to disclose to the Senate that he had previously appeared as a guest on a Chinese Communist Party propaganda media station in which he discussed the “gun violence” problem in the United States.
The racist comments in question apparently relate to claims that Chipman falsely accused a Black former ATF agent of cheating in a promotion exam.
Why would the President of the United States nominate a man who appeared on a government propaganda station of a foreign adversary and smear the United States and its citizens?
Cruz joined ten Republican senators in demanding that a new hearing take place to question Chipman over the allegations.

In the speech, which you can watch in the clip above, Cruz noted how Democrats don’t support the idea of holding another hearing and that they apparently don’t seem to care if he made racist comments.
“They do not care if he created a racially discriminatory and hostile environment by making racist comments,” Cruz said.
The Texas senator then asked that, if Chipman has a defense, nobody knows about it because the Senate committee refused to have a hearing to ask him about it.
Why would Democrats not want to host a committee to question a potential government official about accusations he made racist comments?
