(PatrioticPost.com)- On Sunday, Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz appeared on “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo where they discussed the so-called bipartisan $1.2 Trillion Infrastructure Bill which finally passed the House thanks to the votes of 13 House Republicans. The bipartisan bill had already passed in the Senate over the summer with the help of 19 Republican Senators.
During the interview, Cruz blasted the 13 Republicans for breathing life back into Joe Biden’s failing agenda. Cruz told Bartiromo that, by voting for the measure, those Republicans opened the door for increased taxes. He explained that the argument Republicans gave for voting in favor of the bipartisan bill, namely that it would make it less likely the massive “Build Back Better” spending bill would pass, “never made sense to me.”
Cruz argued that Democrats never agreed to anything like that. They never said that they wouldn’t pursue the massive socialist bill if Republicans would vote for the bipartisan bill. Instead, Cruz told Bartiromo, what Democrats said was they wanted both.
Cruz believed that Biden’s entire agenda was at risk of sinking until those 13 Republicans in the House gave him a lifeline. “They gave Joe Biden a political win,” he explained.
Now President Biden can take a victory lap and travel around the country bragging about his “big bipartisan win,” Cruz said. Worse still, fueled by that momentum, the Democrats are in a much better position when it comes to whipping up votes for their massive, unpopular reconciliation bill.
