(PatrioticPost.com)- Fairfax County police in Virginia reported last week that a Fairfax County middle school science teacher has been arrested and charged with two felonies related to the possession of child pornography.
But don’t call them “Groomers!” That would be wrong!
The pervy teacher, 28-year-old Kristine Knizner from Irving Middle School in Springfield, Virginia, is accused of having child sexual abuse material on her Snapchat account.
Acting on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone with a Fairfax County IP address was in possession of child pornography, Fairfax County detectives linked the Snapchat account to an IP address assigned to Knizner’s apartment in Springfield where Knizner lives alone.
Knizner was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of child pornography. She was taken to the Adult Detention Center where she was later released on a $2,000 unsecured bond.
Photos and videos of child pornography were also found on several of Knizner’s other social media apps. According to police, none of the victims depicted in the pornography appear to be students of Knizner’s.
In a letter to parents following Knizner’s arrest, Fairfax County school officials said they were aware of the charges against her and informed parents that she had been placed on leave. School officials confirmed that nothing had been found linking any of her students to the materials on her social media, but said the district was cooperating with ongoing the police investigation.
Before teaching at Irving Middle School in Springfield, Knizner was a teacher at Key Middle School in Franconia, Virginia.
Fairfax County Police are asking the public to contact the Major Crimes Bureau at 703-246-7800 if they have any further information involving Knizner’s case or any cases of child exploitation.
