(PatrioticPost.com)- You’ve presumably heard by now that Steve Bannon, who once served as an advisor to former President Donald Trump, has been subpoenaed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s ultra-partisan Select Committee that claims to be investigating the origins of the January 6 riots in Washington, D.C.
And after the former president’s lawyers advised Bannon and others to refuse the subpoena, citing Executive Privilege, attorneys representing Bannon have sent a letter to the far-left House speaker describing why he refuses to comply.
Speaking on his War Room podcast recently, Bannon announced that he would not take part in Pelosi’s political theater, and described how Democrats are using the committee to threatened and intimidate Republicans and former aides of the president.
“Just updating people…The Hill reporting, ‘Bannon bucks the Jan. 6 subpoena’, breaking news on CNN, Maggie Habermann from The New York Times has actually tweeted out even as we speak, my response, my letter basically saying President Trump had told the committee he’s exerting executive privilege. And until we hear how that plays out we are not going to comply. So, there you have it. Pretty straightforward,” Bannon said on his show.
The letter sent to House Speaker Pelosi by Davidoff Hutcher & Citron LLP attorneys said that claims that Bannon is acting in “defiance” are wrong.
“As an initial matter, your use of the word ‘defiance’ is inappropriate,” the letter said. “Mr Bannon’s position is not in defiance of your Committee’s subpoena; rather, Mr. Bannon noted that President Trump’s counsel stated that they were invoking executive and other privileges and therefore directed us not to produce documents or give testimony that might reveal information President Trump’s counsel seeks to legally protect.”
The letter adds that as the former president is using executive privilege to protect this information, Bannon will not be testifying or producing documents until President Donald Trump and his attorneys reach an agreement with the House Speaker and the Committee.

It’s an excellent letter that exposes the extremism and the theater of this committee, but you just know that Pelosi won’t care.
She’ll plough on regardless of the facts.
