Steve Bannon is Quietly Plotting To Help Impeach Biden

(PatrioticPost.com)- Steven Bannon, the former White House strategist under then-President Trump, joined House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy in the House’s bid to impeach President Biden, according to Newsweek.

Just hours before Bannon was sentenced to four months in prison for refusing to comply with the January 6 Select Committee’s subpoena, he took to Gettr to show his agreement with McCarthy’s comment that the House is not going to impeach the president for political reasons.

“You watch what the Democrats did,” McCarthy said during an interview. “They all came out and said they would impeach before Trump was ever sworn in. There wasn’t a purpose for it. If you spent all that time arguing against using impeachment for political purposes, you gotta be able to sustain exactly what you said.”

Bannon took to Gettr agreeing with McCarthy.

“Listen to exactly what McCarthy said—’we will not impeach for political purposes,’” Bannon wrote. “WarRoom agrees—We must only impeach following strictly the guidelines of The Constitution—After deep and thorough investigations into the invasion of the Southern Border, Hunter Biden’s Laptop from Hell, Fauci’s lies during the pandemic, and many other investigations.”

He continued to say that only after the House provides solid evidence against the president should they move to impeach him.

House Republicans have been gearing up for impeachment on the condition that they take back control of Congress. Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz called impeached a “priority” for the next Congress. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has previously introduced articles of impeachment but was met with little support in the Democrat-controlled House.

Elise Stefanik, House Republican Conference chair, has also echoed fellow Republicans in their bid against Biden, saying that impeachment can be introduced after allegations arose that he requested OPEC delay a cut in production until after the midterm elections.

“Joe Biden is unfit to serve as President of the United States of America,” Stefanik tweeted.

Moderate Republicans, however, have come out against impeaching President Biden. Rep. Nancy Mace has reportedly said that she would not vote for impeachment without due process, while Rep. Tom Cole has rejected the idea completely.

“I would argue we all know, at the end of the day, there’s not going to be a conviction in the Senate,” Cole told Politico. “It just injects poison into the system, causes a lot of turmoil.”
