Ron DeSantis Drops Hint About Donald Trump

(PatrioticPost.com)- At a press conference on Tuesday, Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis addressed recent criticisms leveled at him by former President Donald Trump.

Trump has targeted DeSantis for some derogatory statements, including calling him DeSanctimonius.

A political contest for the ages is in the works, as recent surveys show the Florida governor topping Trump in a fictitious 2024 presidential primary.

During the press conference, a reporter asked DeSantis what he thought about Trump’s huge announcement and some of his less-than-flattering comments about him.

DeSantis replied that one of the things he’s learned in politics is that you take on incoming fire when you’re leading and when you’re getting things done.

“That’s just how things are. As soon as I get out of bed in the morning, corporate media outlets start to attack me and have spasms just because I’m getting out of bed. This is just what has happened,” DeSantis said.

DeSantis said he doesn’t believe any governor was attacked more than he was, particularly by corporate media.

“But what you learn is, all that’s just noise, and what matters is, are you leading, are you getting in front of issues, are you delivering results for people, and are you standing up for folks?” he stated.

None of that stuff matters, according to DeSantis. “We have concentrated on results and leadership.”

According to the former president, DeSantis is an “ordinary governor” who only became well-known due to Trump’s support.

According to a poll, DeSantis is ahead of Trump in the Texas GOP primary.

Recent surveys conducted in four crucial states—New Hampshire, Florida, Georgia, and Iowa—show DeSantis leading Trump by double digits. DeSantis leads Trump 56% to 30% in his home state of Florida, while the governor has a 52% to 37% advantage in New Hampshire.

According to the former president, a presidential run by DeSantis would be “a mistake” because DeSantis may “damage himself very terribly.”

Trump said he would tell things about him that won’t be very flattering if he did decide to run. According to Trump, other than maybe his wife, who is essentially directing his campaign, he may know more about him than anyone else.
