(PatrioticPost)- Republican Rep. Madison Cawthorn, first elected to the House in November, is under fire from far-left radicals and Democrats for comments he’s made online.
Because of course he is…
Can conservatives say anything online these days without some Democrats getting annoyed?
Specifically, Cawthorn is taking heat for comments he made about online about his training for the 2020 Paralympic Games, with an article in the Nation magazine accusing Cawthorn of having “misled about public about training for the Paralympics, just as he misrepresented his education and business history.”
The article said that Cawthorn didn’t compete in any qualifying competitions for the Paralympic games.
“Cawthorn frequently said on social media that he was ‘training’ for the Paralympic Games. Technically, such a statement could be true—but only in the sense that I could be training for the Olympic Games,” journalist Sara Luterman said.
It’s a brutal blow…but one that ultimately fails given that Cawthorn literally did compete for the games.
“Rep. Cawthorn trained for the 400 meters with the goal of competing in the Tokyo Olympics,” Micah Bock, a spokesperson for Rep. Cawthorn confirmed in an email. “Due to a back muscle injury, he was unable to continue pursuing that dream. Rep. Cawthorn’s journey from car crash to Congress was not an easy one, and his desire to compete in the Tokyo Olympics further underscores the passion Congressman Cawthorn has always possessed to represent his country.”
And it wasn’t just the false accusations about his athletic history. The Campaign for Accountability (CfA), a government watchdog group, announced on Friday that they asked the Office of Congressional Ethics to investigate the freshman congressman for inciting a riot.
Yeah, he incited a riot about as much as President Donald Trump did…which is not at all.
The CfA wants Cawthorn to be investigated for “inciting a riot as part of a seditious conspiracy to use force to prevent Congress from carrying out its constitutional and statutory duties to count the votes of the Electoral College.”
There is no evidence that Rep. Cawthorn endorsed sedition or a riot. He did, however, roundly condemn violence along with all other Republican members of Congress when a gang of Trump supporters, Antifa, and a CNN reporter chose to illegally break into the Capitol Building and cause chaos.
“I strongly condemn all acts of violence and urge protestors to only engage in PEACEFUL protests,” Cawthorn said on January 6.
I strongly condemn all acts of violence and urge protestors to only engage in PEACEFUL protests.
The storming of the Capitol today was a reprehensible act and unacceptable in this country.
Pray for our country.

Hardly the language of someone who incites riots, is it?
