(PatrioticPost.com)- A new classified intelligence report allegedly claims that Russian President Vladimir Putin was treated for advanced cancer in April, according to unnamed intelligence officers familiar with the classified report.
Newsweek spoke with three unnamed sources, one from the DNI, another from DIA, and a third from the Air Force who claimed that Putin’s grip on power might be coming to an end.
Why are these three intel officials divulging the details in a classified report?
The DNI officer told Newsweek that after the Ukraine invasion, the best source of intelligence, namely contact with outsiders, “dried up” because Putin is meeting with fewer world leaders while remaining largely isolated. That leaves the intel community with only speculation.
Based on that speculation, the Air Force source told Newsweek Putin is “absolutely” sick.
The DNI officer said even if the intelligence of Putin’s impending death is reliable, the Biden administration isn’t going to publicly support regime change in Russia. With or without Putin, the unnamed officer added, Russia remains a nuclear-armed country and the US doesn’t want to provoke the Kremlin by signaling support for regime change.
The DNI officer with loose lips also concluded that Vladimir Putin is “definitely sick,” but what isn’t clear is whether he will die soon.
The rumors about Putin’s poor health have been circulating over the last couple of years after he underwent emergency surgery in February 2020. Since then, some have suspected the Russian leader was suffering from a debilitating disease like cancer or Parkinson’s.
But the health rumors began in earnest after footage from a February 18 meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko showed the Russian president’s hands shaking uncontrollably.
The UK Sun reported in late April that an anonymous Kremlin insider had told the Russian media outlet, General SVR, that Putin was to undergo surgery for cancer, but the “insider” did not specifically describe the nature of the operation.
In photos from Putin’s April meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, the 69-year-old president can be seen gripping the table and slouching down in his chair.
During the May 9 Victory Day military parade in Moscow, Putin was seen walking with a limp and sitting with a blanket covering his lap.
During a meeting with Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon in May, the Russian president was plagued with restless, fidgeting feet. The physical tic was so pronounced that even President Rahmon could be seen looking down at Putin’s feet during the televised footage from the meeting.
None of the rumors about Putin’s health, however, have been verified and the Kremlin has denied that the Russian president is sick.
