(PatrioticPost.com)- Millions of American people are suffering as a result of lockdown measures imposed in the wake of the Chinese coronavirus outbreak, and while President Donald Trump does his best to get the Democrats to agree to a sensible plan to help the American people get by, activists are demonstrating their total lack of understanding of how the economy works. Protesters in Los Angeles recently served Mayor Eric Garcetti a mock eviction notice and demand that he, somehow, cancels rent.
The Los Angeles Times reports that protesters gathered outside of the mayor’s home – hundreds of them, in fact – and caused a scene. Many of the protesters were arrested, including one person who allegedly assaulted a police officer. A mock eviction notice was attached to the front gate of the mayor’s official residents. As if he’s going anywhere any time soon.
“Eric Garcetti, YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED THAT YOU WILL BE EVICTED FROM YOUR MANSION IF YOU DO NOT CANCEL RENT WITHIN THREE (3) DAYS OF RECEIPT OF THIS NOTICE,” the insane ramblings read.
On the day rent’s due, protesters deliver eviction notice to Mayor Garcetti at the Getty House:

“HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WILL BECOME HOMELESS IF RENT IS NOT CANCELLED,” it continued.
Protesters fail to recognize, however, that canceling rent presents new problems – namely the fact that landlords will potentially default on mortgage payments and the entire building could be lost. And then the tenants would still be homeless.
Democrats have tried taking this route, but the legislation never passed because the idea is completely unworkable. Far-left Representative for Minnesota, Ilhan Omar, introduced legislation in April that would cancel rent but it didn’t get passed.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens in three days. If the protesters are serious, then they might be suggesting that they will take new action if Mayor Garcetti refuses to cancel rent. Will they really attempt to storm the building and evict him?
