Possible Biden Running Mate Susan Rice’s Son Supports President Trump

(PatrioticPost.com)- Susan Rice, the former United Nations Ambassador under the Obama administration and the possible running mate for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, admitted recently that her son doesn’t support her politics, her presidential pick, or her party. He’s a supporter of President Donald Trump.

During an interview with NPR, Rice explained how her son was in charge of the Stanford College Republicans and supports President Trump. Unlike many on the left who would disavow a relative like that, however, Rice said that she still loves her son “dearly.”

Believe it or not, that’s rare these days. Antifa activists often advocate for families to disown loved ones who support the president or Republicans. And if you don’t believe it, check out this piece from The Independent in which a leftist describes how they haven’t spoken to their Republican family members since President Trump was elected.

“I have a 23-year-old son whom I love dearly, whose politics are very, very different from my own and from the rest of our family,” Rice said. “My son and I will have some robust disagreement over some matters of policy, not all. And yet, at the end of the day, you know, I love him dearly and he loves me.”

That’s the kind of sensible attitude that far-left supporters of the Biden campaign wouldn’t advocate.

Fox News reports that Rice’s son, whose name is John David Rice-Cameron, was the president of Stanford College’s Republican group. He was also responsible for hosting several Republican events, including one called “Make Stanford Great Again.”

Speaking to Fox in 2018, he described how he has a “great” relationship with his mother, and that she believes that it’s important to be able to engage in the “respectful exchange of ideas.”

This could actually be significant for the Biden campaign, should they choose her as his running mate. This is how Democrats used to behave, and it could provide some balance to Biden’s aggressive and unhinged style, and the sheer anger of his supporters. The fact that his angry supporters don’t want reconciliation, however, suggests that Rice may well not be the right fit.
