Poll: Vast Majority of Americans Want CBS to Release FULL Kamala Interview

Remember when Vice President Kamala Harris did a highly-edited interview on 60 Minutes?

Well, people aren’t forgetting – and a vast majority are demanding that CBS release the full tape.

At a glance:

  • 85% of voters, including majorities of Republicans and Democrats, want CBS News to release the full transcript of Kamala Harris’s “60 Minutes” interview.
  • 53% of voters believe the interview was edited to make Harris appear more favorable, while 47% believe it was fair and objective.
  • Less than 15 minutes of the original 45-minute interview were aired on television and social media, leading to accusations of deceptive editing.

A recent poll reveals that an overwhelming 85% of voters want CBS News to release the full transcript of Vice President Kamala Harris’s “60 Minutes” interview, amid growing accusations that the network deceptively edited the interview to make Harris appear in a more favorable light. The poll shows strong bipartisan support for the release, with 88% of Republicans and 87% of Democrats in agreement. Despite these demands, CBS has so far refused to release the full transcript or footage of the interview.

The controversy began after CBS aired a heavily edited version of Harris’s interview, which was originally 45 minutes long. The segment that aired on television was reduced to 20 minutes, while only 6 additional minutes were posted on social media. This means that less than one-third of the interview made it to the public, with many voters questioning what was left out.

Among those polled, 53% of voters believe that CBS edited the interview to make Harris “look better,” while 47% think the editing was “fair and objective.” These concerns were amplified after a promotional clip released by CBS included a statement by Harris that was later missing from the final broadcast. In the clip, Harris responded to a question from host Bill Whitaker about Israel’s war against Islamic terrorists, specifically regarding Prime Minister Netanyahu’s actions. However, this statement was not included in the version aired on TV or posted online, sparking allegations of selective editing.

The Trump campaign, alongside top U.S. Senators and former CBS News journalists, has called for CBS to release the full transcript and footage. They argue that the public deserves transparency and should be able to see Harris’s full remarks. The Associated Press reported that the interview was cut down from 45 minutes to fit into the shorter segments, but critics say this selective editing raises serious concerns about media bias and the portrayal of political figures.

When will CBS do the right thing?

Or will they just keep covering for Kamala?
