Ocasio-Cortez Says “I Can Do Math” As She Takes Over Democrat’s Control Of Congress

(PatrioticPost.com)- Last week, veteran Democrat strategist James Carville took a blowtorch to far-Left Squaddie Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and the thin-skinned Congresswoman clearly wasn’t happy about it.

During an interview on CNN last Thursday, Carville said that Ocasio-Cortez and her fellow Leftists in the House should “do the math” because Democrats don’t have that many votes, so they better compromise with Republicans.

Carville was asked by CNN host John Berman what he thought when he heard Ocasio-Cortez complain that she didn’t want to play patty-cake with Republicans. And Carville pointed out that Ocasio-Cortez, and others from deep blue Congressional districts, fail to understand that not everyone in Congress represents such far-left districts. And those from more swing districts “have to live in real life.”

Berman asked if Carville was implying that Ocasio-Cortez and these other deep-blue Democrats are out of touch. Carville said he didn’t know if they were out of touch, but they certainly need to sit down and do the math.

He reiterated that Democrats only have “the thinnest of all majorities” with the Senate evenly split and only a 4-vote margin in the House.

Carville added that while the Squad might be “well-meaning,” they need to get out a calculator because Democrats “just don’t have the votes.”

Naturally, MSNBC far-left host Medhi Hasan rushed in to give Ocasio-Cortez a platform to hit back at Carville’s criticism. Honestly, this woman is so thin-skinned, she can’t let anything go.

If you can stomach listening to her, here’s AOC’s interview with Hasan:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez may have Nancy Pelosi tied around her finger, but the far-Left wing of the House is causing havoc for swing district Democrats.

Carville is right that Democrats from solidly deep blue districts can promote a radical, extremist agenda without fear of losing in 2022. Nobody will unseat Ocasio-Cortez or Cory Bush or Ilhan Omar or any of the rest of them. But in swing districts, signing on to a radical agenda would spell electoral suicide.

This is something Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of the Squad do not understand.

Any win for them would be a significant loss for the Democrats in 2022.

This isn’t 2010 when Democrats had supermajorities in both chambers. They hold the smallest majority in the history of the House. Allowing the Democrat caucus to follow Ocasio-Cortez off the cliff just doesn’t add up.
