New Evidence Suggests Dr. Fauci Committed Perjury

( Well, Rand Paul was right. Dr. Anthony Fauci, patron saint of COVID, lied to Congress.

Despite Fauci’s repeated insistence, including during sworn testimony before Congress, that no US money went to funding gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, recently acquired records reveal that Fauci may not have been telling the truth.

During a House hearing back in May, Dr. Fauci insisted that the US “has not ever and does not now” provide funding for gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. He also denied any claims that NIAID funding to EcoHealth Alliance went to gain-of-function research in Wuhan.

Fauci defined “gain-of-function” as “taking a virus that could infect humans and making it more transmissible and/or pathogenic for humans.” Fauci then emphatically stated, “That categorically was not done.”

This week the Intercept reported that it obtained over 900 pages of materials that show that this gain-of-function research “categorically” was funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).

The Intercept published records detailing grants that the US government’s scientific agencies gave to the EcoHealth Alliance which in turn funneled money to research conducted at the Wuhan virology lab – including research where scientists manipulated viruses, often making them more transmittable, to study their effects and develop treatment.

One such contract to EcoHealth contained a clause that said “prior to altering mutant viruses,” the NIAID needed a “detailed description” of the proposed changes. What’s more, work on coronaviruses “must be submitted to NIAID for review and approval.”

And who heads up the NIAID? Dr. Anthony Fauci.

EcoHealth Alliance’s president is none other than Peter Daszak – the man who, early on in the pandemic, scrambled to get scientists to sign onto a letter denouncing the theory that COVID leaked from the Wuhan lab. This letter, published in the Lancet in February 2020, was later repudiated by the Lancet after Daszak’s conflict of interests was revealed.

Senator Rand Paul, who has frequently sparred with Dr. Fauci during Senate hearings believes that the release of these documents prove that the media’s favorite COVID spokesman committed perjury before Congress.

Lying to Congress is a crime. Just ask Roger Stone.

But what are the chances that the FBI will show up in full SWAT gear to Fauci’s expensive Maryland home in the wee hours of the morning with a CNN crew in tow?

At the very least, Fauci should be compelled to go before Congress to explain under oath exactly what he knew about EcoHealth’s relationship with the Wuhan lab, as well as the taxpayer money used to fund that relationship.
