Nancy Pelosi Runs Away From Press On Camera

( President Joe Biden rightly got a lot of flack for not answering questions from journalists following his disastrous withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, and for repeatedly turning his back on journalists, so you’d think that far-left House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would have been smart enough to avoid doing the same thing.

But apparently not.

On Thursday, following the horrific suicide bombings outside of Kabul’s international airport that killed 13 U.S. Marines, Pelosi was giving a speech to celebrate Women’s Equality Day at a pre-organized event in San Francisco. She was joined by a number of other influential women, including San Francisco Mayor London Breed, and naturally, she ended up facing questions from journalists about Afghanistan.

Following the murder of American troops in Afghanistan, journalists asked the most powerful woman in Congress to comment, and she didn’t. Instead, Pelosi said that she had “put out a statement” and turned her back and left. Reporters then chased her as she left, hoping she might actually have something to say about the damage done by President Joe Biden and his botched withdrawal.

Pelosi did in fact issue a statement. Perhaps she didn’t know what was on it, and that’s why she didn’t talk. Or perhaps she was too ashamed.

On Thursday afternoon, Pelosi’s office finally said that the House of Representatives “strongly condemns the heinous terrorist attack” outside of the airport and that they “mourn the loss” of all lives that were taken.

Which is…well…what else was she going to say?

It might be nice if the House Speaker actually showed some compassion and perhaps even regret for the deaths caused by her party’s horrible incompetence…
