A Democratic mayoral candidate in New York City continues to dodge direct condemnation of the violent anti-Semitic slogan “Globalize the Intifada.” This is despite mounting pressure from his own party leaders, who recognize the phrase as a dangerous call for violence against Jewish Americans.

- Top Democratic Party leaders, including Hakeem Jeffries, have publicly pressured Mamdani to clarify his stance and reject the slogan.
- Fellow Democrat Rep. Andre Carson deflected when asked about the phrase, acknowledging some people who use it “literally mean” to call for violence.
The Coward’s Dance Around Anti-Semitic Violence
In 2025, with President Trump back in the White House, the toxic, anti-Semitic garbage that festered under the previous administration continues to poison our cities. Zohran Mamdani , a leading progressive candidate for New York City mayor, has repeatedly refused to condemn a phrase that literally calls for global violence against Jews. When pressed by reporters, the spineless politician has dodged, deflected, and even abruptly ended press conferences rather than take a stand against anti-Semitism. That this is even a debate in American politics shows how far the radical left has dragged our discourse into the gutter. Mamdani’s pathetic performance gets even worse when you learn he told business executives privately that he would “discourage” the use of the phrase but refuses to say so publicly. This is the kind of two-faced political cowardice that Americans are sick of seeing from Democrats.
The Bloody History Democrats Want You to Ignore
Let’s be crystal clear about what “Globalize the Intifada” actually means, because the mainstream media loves to muddy the waters. The phrase references the Palestinian intifadas, particularly the Second Intifada (2000-2005), which saw systematic suicide bombings targeting innocent civilians on buses, in cafes, and at shopping malls. When radical activists chant “Globalize the Intifada,” they’re calling for that same violence to be exported worldwide against Jewish communities and anyone who supports Israel’s right to exist. The American Jewish Committee and other organizations have documented how this rhetoric has led to real-world threats against Jewish Americans, including online maps revealing the home addresses of community leaders. This is textbook intimidation and terrorism, plain and simple.
"Globalize the Intifada," widely seen as a call for violence against Israel & Jewish communities everywhere, must not be normalized. Congress has introduced a bipartisan resolution to condemn this dangerous antisemitic rhetoric — urge your Representative to support it now:… pic.twitter.com/MJT7kMBqVv

Even Democrats Can’t Stomach This Extremism
What makes this situation even more outrageous is that Mamdani’s own party leaders are calling him out. House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Rep. Ritchie Torres have publicly demanded that Mamdani clarify his position and condemn the phrase. In a rare rebuke, Jeffries called the slogan “irresponsible.” When your own party thinks you’ve gone too far in enabling anti-Semitic rhetoric, you’ve crossed a line that shouldn’t exist in American politics. Rep. Andre Carson’s response was equally pathetic, acknowledging that while some use the slogan symbolically, others “literally mean that.” When someone calls for violence against American citizens, there’s no “symbolic” interpretation that makes it acceptable.
The Real Stakes for America’s Jewish Communities
While politicians play word games, real American families live in fear. This isn’t theoretical; we’ve seen what happens when this rhetoric flourishes. The 2022 Boston Mapping Project similarly targeted Jewish institutions for harassment and potential violence. These are not abstract political debates; they’re threats to the safety and security of American citizens. If Democratic politicians can’t bring themselves to condemn obvious calls for violence against Jewish Americans, what other forms of extremism are they willing to tolerate? This is exactly the kind of moral weakness that allowed anti-American sentiment to flourish during the Biden administration. Thank God we have President Trump back in office, because at least we know he’ll call out anti-Semitism and stand with our Jewish communities when spineless Democrats won’t.
