(PatrioticPost.com)- Remember when Kamala Harris thought she was a frontrunner in the race to become the Democratic presidential nominee? Those were the days that she would lash out at the other candidates in an attempt to assert her dominance and superiority…that is, until Rep. Tulsi Gabbard slam-dunked her on her record on criminal prosecutions.
Here’s a reminder of that moment.
But, back to the story.
Harris’s bitter attacks during the debates are coming back to haunt Harris and could even be the thing that stops her becoming Biden’s vice-presidential pick. During the first Democratic primary debates in June last year, Harris attacked former Vice President Joe Biden on his opposition to the federally-mandated busing program in the 70s. Harris has refused to apologize for the attack, despite it being fraudulent, ever since. And now, reports suggest that it could be the stumbling block for her becoming his VP pick.
Politico reports that Harris isn’t quite a “lock” for the VP pick just yet, and that it’s all because she refuses to apologize for her attacks. You’d be forgiven for thinking that her history as a criminal prosecutor would be the worst part of her history, given that the Democrats seem to give criminality a pass these days.
Former Senator Chriss Dodd, who is a member of the VP search committee on the Biden campaign, was asked about Harris and the famous attack.
“She laughed and said, ‘that’s politics.’ She had no remorse,” Dodd reportedly said to a Biden donor. The conversation was shared with Politico by the donor.
Dodd reportedly felt that it was a cheap gimmick. The donor also told Politico that Dodd was so concerned about Harris that he actively worked to elevate the chances of California Rep. Karen Bass during the vetting and interview process. Dodd reportedly urged Biden to choose Bass because she would be a “loyal No.2” and that’s “what Biden really wants.”
Joe Biden said he would commit to choosing a woman as his VP pick. Raise your hand if you’re surprised that he wants a subservient and loyal one…
Politico also reported that former high-ranking officials from the Democratic Party have also expressed their concerns about Harris.
