(PatrioticPost.com)- Vice President Kamala Harris’ decision to remove her face mask twice last week, despite being aware that she had recently been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19, is the latest example of Democrats breaking their own coronavirus rules. Rules which they impose on ordinary Americans.
Americans are increasingly frustrated with covering their faces while the politicians who put the rules in place – such as Harris, President Joe Biden, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi – completely ignore their protocols. The Biden administration recently extended the federal mask mandate on airplanes until May 3, and New York City has mandated that toddlers continue to wear masks in daycares.
But, Monday, U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle overturned the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s existing national mask regulation on airlines and public transportation.
The CDC failed to defend its judgment and did not follow proper regulatory procedures, according to the 59-page ruling from a Florida court, leaving it fatally flawed.
The CDC recently extended a federal mask rule on public transportation and at public transportation hubs until May 3 to give researchers more time to investigate the BA.2 omicron subvariant of the coronavirus, which is currently responsible for the vast majority of illnesses in the United States.
According to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, the Biden administration will not rule out appealing the federal mask mandate on airlines and public transit.
They desire to get the order reinstated while the aristocracy of the Biden administration ignores it.
On Tuesday, the Department of Justice was still studying its plan of action.
Psaki says that the Biden administration still feels that maintaining the mask mandate until May 3, as the government had intended, is perfectly acceptable, based on the research.
When asked about social media accounts of passengers cheering the end of mask requirements, the strident Psaki remarked that anecdotes are not data.
On Monday, a federal district court in Florida found the transportation mask mandate unconstitutional, reversing the CDC’s decision to extend the order by two weeks. The decision came after airline CEOs and Republican-led states pressed the federal government to eliminate the requirement, despite several surveys showing that over 60% of Americans still support it.
As a result of the repeal of the federal mask mandate, many major transportation firms, including major airlines, Amtrak, and Uber, declared that they would no longer force passengers to wear masks. At the same time, the New York City subway system has maintained its mask requirement.
“The courts shouldn’t make public health decisions,” Psaki said, “Public health experts should make them.”
