(PatrioticPost.com)- It has been over two years since former Attorney General William Barr picked US Attorney John Durham to investigate the origins of the RussiaGate scandal. In December of 2020, Barr named Durham special counsel so that he could continue his investigation after Biden became President.
And in all that time, one person, a low-level FBI lawyer named Kevin Clinesmith, was indicted and sentenced to one year probation and 400 hours of community service for making a false statement when he altered an email about former Trump advisor Carter Page.
Over two years and that’s all John Durham has to show for his investigation.
People who did nothing more than walk into the Capitol on January 6 and take some selfies have been held in jail without bail waiting for trials that may not take place until next year. And an FBI lawyer who falsified documents in order to illegally target Carter Page with a FISA warrant gets probation and community service.
There are truly two systems of justice in America.
Well, last Friday it was reported that special counsel Durham is presenting grand jury evidence and preparing a report on his two-year investigation.
Is he going after Comey? Brennan? Andrew McCabe?
No.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Durham is reportedly exploring criminal charges against some low-level FBI officials and the tipsters who might have provided false leads to the FBI in its RussiaGate investigation.
Durham’s investigation has now lasted longer than Robert Mueller’s ridiculous investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia. And all Durham has to show for it is some low-level small fish. And the big fish, apparently, will all swim away unscathed.
And the long-awaited report on his findings, which was set to be released by the end of the summer will likely be delayed.
The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that Durham is investigating whether tipsters had knowingly fed the FBI false information. This includes the evidence-free claim of a link between the Trump Organization and the Russian Alfa Bank.
Tipsters.
More than two years and Durham is going after tipsters.
No wonder Donald Trump is so irritated with Bill Barr and John Durham. His entire term in office was hamstrung by a phony “investigation” and smear campaign. Carter Page’s life was destroyed. The US Congress wasted time and taxpayer money on false “investigations.” And John Durham might prosecute some “tipsters.”
