(PatrioticPost.com)- The Jan. 6 Committee has revoked its summons to former president Donald Trump.
According to reports, Bennie Thompson, a Democrat from Mississippi, wrote to Trump’s lawyer that the Select Committee could no longer pursue the specific information covered by the subpoena in light of the imminent end of their investigation.
Thompson said that through the letter, he formally withdrew the subpoena issued to former President Trump and notified that he is no longer required to comply or produce records in response to said subpoena.
Last October, the Jan. 6 Committee issued a subpoena to Trump, requiring him to appear before them and produce records. Trump filed a lawsuit to overturn the subpoena, calling the investigation an illegal, unfounded records request.
On Truth Social, Trump commented on the cancellation of the subpoena and claimed that they knew he did nothing wrong.
Trump wrote that he recently learned that the political thugs on the ‘Unselect’ Committee had withdrawn their subpoena concerning the protest of the rigged 2020 presidential election on January 6th. They either knew he did nothing wrong, or they knew they would lose in court. Perhaps their choice was influenced by the FBI’s role in rigging the election. In any case, the Subpoena is null and void, Trump penned.
Trump’s post came after a series of attacks, including one that suggested Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, was compromised and forced to kowtow to Senate Democrats on the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill.
Trump explained on Truth Social that something is going on with Mitch McConnell and his virtually automatic ‘surrenders’ to the Marxist Democrats, such as on the $1.7 trillion ‘Ominous’ bill. He wondered if perhaps it had to do with his wife, Coco Chow, and their extensive ties to China.
Reports show that earlier in the evening, Trump asserted that the same FBI investigators of the Hunter Biden laptop have been pressuring Twitter to censor accurate information about the laptop in the weeks preceding the 2020 presidential election.
