Iranian Operative Shot Dead

(PatrioticPost.com)- In a bold strike Sunday afternoon in Tehran, assassins on motorbikes killed a significant member of Iran’s elite Quds force who had plotted attacks on Israelis.

According to The Jerusalem Post, Col. Hassan Sayad Khodayari, who was known to work in Syria with the Islamic Revolutionary Guards unit, was involved in preparing assaults on Jews and Israelis. According to Iranian media, he was shot dead in front of his residence on Mojahedin Eslam Street by gunmen who escaped.

TV 9 Middle East journalist Aditya Raj Kaul tweeted “big news.” In Tehran, two individuals on a motorbike shot and murdered Iranian IRGC Colonel Hassan Sayad Khodayari.

The killing was dubbed a “criminal terrorist act of the counter-revolution and elements related to global arrogance.” by the IRGC. While they did not directly blame Israel, the kind of operation is similar to Israel’s famed Mossad, according to noted Iranian journalist Hossein Dalirian.

Khodayari’s corpse looked to be slumped over the steering wheel of his automobile in photos shared on social media. Some stories suggested that the perpetrators had been apprehended in Iran, but this could not be verified. The IRGC claimed hours after the killing that it had apprehended a “network of thugs” linked to the Mossad.

According to reports in Iran, Khodayari is a “defender of the sanctuary,” a term used by the Times of Israel to describe Iranians who work for the Guard’s elite Quds Force in Syria and Iraq.

When questioned about the killing by an Israeli news station, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz declined to respond.

According to the Iranian news site Jadeh Iran, Khodayari was a prominent person in Iran’s military sector and was involved in the country’s drone program. The IRGC launched missiles against a facility near Erbil, Iraq, that they said was utilized by the Mossad in March. The incident was said to be in reprisal for an Israeli strike near Mahidasht, Iran, on an IRGC drone station.

Military agents from Iran who spearhead strikes against Israel frequently die on the streets of Tehran. According to The Jerusalem Post, the nation’s top military nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, was assassinated in Tehran in November 2020.

According to the Jewish Chronicle, he was slain by the Mossad, who used a covert team of more than 20 Israeli and Iranian nationals to bring a “one-ton remote-controlled pistol” into the country in parts.
