(PatrioticPost.com)- If the Republicans take back the House and Senate in the 2022 midterm elections, then they appear to have big plans. According to a report by The Washington Examiner, Reps. Eric Swalwell and Ilhan Omar are at the top of the list of representatives who the Republicans want to see stripped of their roles in various committees.
After Democrats removed Republican members from their committee assignments over the last few months, Republicans are rallying behind the idea of stripping some of the most radical left-wing members of Congress of their responsibilities…and it wouldn’t just be a matter of retribution.
With regards to Rep. Omar, Republicans would be responding to the number of disturbing anti-Semitic comments she has made before entering office and even after becoming an elected representative. In the past, Omar courted controversy when she suggested that America’s support of Israel was “all about the Benjamins” – an anti-Semitic trope that is used to imply that Jewish Americans only care about money.
Most recently, however, Omar compared the U.S., Israel, Hamas, and the Taliban. The comments were so egregious that it caused an uproar in the press and in Congress, but amazingly, House Speaker Pelosi refused to call on her to apologize.
With regards to Swalwell, his affair with a literal Chinese spy is probably enough to get him booted from any committee that could see him obtaining sensitive information that cannot leave Congress and would be dangerous in the hands of the Chinese.
How can he be trusted?
Speaking to The Washington Examiner, Republican Rep. Jim Banks said that he will make a “stronger case” to remove Swalwell from his committees in the future after previous efforts failed.
