(PatrioticPost.com)- A recent court filing from Special Counsel John Durham alleges that an attorney for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign paid an internet company to surveil servers at Trump Tower and the White House as part of the effort to link Donald Trump to Russia.
Durham filed the motion related to potential conflicts of interest in the ongoing case against former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann who was charged last year with lying to the FBI.
Sussman allegedly denied working on behalf of the Clinton campaign when he presented the FBI with documents that supposedly linked the Trump organization to a Kremlin-tied bank two months before the 2016 election.
Sussmann has pleaded not guilty to the charge of making a false statement to the FBI.
According to the February 11 motion, Sussmann allegedly assembled the allegations on behalf of two tech clients and the Clinton campaign.
In his filing, Durham notes that Sussmann hired these tech guys to mine data from a project run by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to spy on Donald Trump and his associates at Trump Tower, in Trump’s private residence, and at the “Executive Office of the Presidency.” According to Durham, the goal was to dig up information that could be used to build on the “Russian collusion” narrative concocted by the Clinton campaign.
According to Durham, in 2017, Sussmann provided “an updated set of allegations” about President Trump’s Russian connection to another government agency. Sussmann alleged at that time that suspicious DNS lookups by Russian-affiliated IP addresses “demonstrated Trump and/or his associates were using supposedly rare, Russian-made wireless phones in the vicinity of the White House and other locations.”
Durham, however, said his investigation found “no support for these allegations” and the supposed “evidence” Sussmann provided was incomplete and skewed.
In a statement released the following day, former President Trump said Durham’s filing proved that he was right when he said he was spied on. Trump said it proves the Russian collusion scandal was “completely fabricated” by Hillary Clinton’s campaign and he demanded that those involved in this “spying operation” be “subject to criminal prosecution.”
