“Friends” Star Mathew Parry Responds To Bruce Willis’ Illness

(PatrioticPost.com)- The movie star Bruce Willis, 67, whose movies earned close to 3 billion dollars during his storied career, has been diagnosed with aphasia, which affects the ability to communicate.

When the news broke, there was an outpouring from directors, producers, and former co-stars who worked with Willis, all expressing their well-wishes.

Matthew Perry, who co-starred in three movies with Willis, including the successful “ Whole Nine Yards,” sent a prayer message to Bruce Willis after the actor’s family announced he was stepping down from acting.

“Dear Bruce Willis, I’m so sorry to hear what you are going through, but you’re still the coolest man I’ve met in my entire life. You will remain in my prayers for a long long time. Maybe we should get together and watch the whole 10 yards and get a couple of hours of sleep,” Perry wrote on Twitter.

The movie Perry references was a sequel to the pair’s first film together, 2000’s The Whole Nine Yards.

The Willis family released the news on Instagram-

“Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him. We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce always says, ‘Live it up’ and together we plan to do just that.”

Scout Willis, Willis’ daughter, expressed gratitude to fans for the “outpouring of love” she has received since the news.

“The exquisite outpouring of love that I am experiencing right now is just blowing me away. Thank you all for showing up with so much tenderness and stunning love for my daddio and my whole family!” she wrote on Instagram.
