(PatrioticPost.com)- Fox News anchor Bret Baier said during an interview on Varney and Co. on Wednesday that the decision by House Republicans to remove Rep. Liz Cheney as the House GOP Conference Chair might have gained her more support within the party – though his comments may be more optimistic than realistic.
Baier’s comments come after House Republicans took only minutes to oust her in a vote on Wednesday, following a similar vote back in February that took four hours to complete and ultimately saw her remain in the position in the hopes that the GOP could remain a “Big Tent” party.
“She probably got some supporters based on this move saying she stands on principle and she’s going to continue to,” Baier said.

“There’s about 100 lawmakers apparently, Ashley, who are going to release a letter saying they’re going to form a third party,” he added.
And while Baier’s comment proved to be accurate – with over 100 GOP former and current elected officials signing a letter threatening to leave the party – his comments would likely have left some Republicans and Fox viewers confused about his optimism for Cheney’s brand of “conservatism.”
So what if 100 Republicans are threatening to leave when a vast majority of Republicans support former President Donald Trump and his multi-racial, pro-working-class vision for America?
The letter from the Cheney supporters published on Thursday claimed that it was their “patriotic duty” to oppose President Trump and declare their intent to “catalyze an American renewal.”
Neocons are so good at weird, meaningless messages like that, aren’t they?
“A Call for American Renewal” is the name of their group, and we’re likely to hear more about them in the coming months…when they try and set up their own political party after realizing the GOP is Trump’s party now.
