Investigative Journalism on Political Corruption

Eric Eggers is an investigative journalist renowned for uncovering political corruption and assessing election integrity. His book, “Fraud: How the Left Plans to Steal the Next Election,” outlines the critical threats and weaknesses in America’s election system. Eggers elaborates on the vulnerabilities present in absentee and mail-in ballots and their potential to undermine the democratic process.

Eggers states that while all 50 states prohibit electioneering at polling places, no such bans exist for absentee and mail-in ballots, making them vulnerable to intimidation and unwarranted assistance at home. He argues that absentee ballots can be easily misdirected, stolen, forged, and altered, posing significant risks to election security.

The kicker? He wrote this book back in 2018 – and what he said then is just as relevant now. He called the 2020 election years before it happened!

Vulnerabilities of Absentee and Mail-In Voting

Absentee voting undoubtedly serves those with legitimate reasons for not voting in person. Yet, Eric Eggers points out that the lack of supervision and transparency make mail-in ballots more prone to fraud. Issues arise regularly, most notably, millions of mail-in ballots—28 million from 2012 to 2018—went missing. Another 2.1 million were undeliverable.

Vote harvesting, allowed in 27 states and D.C., further increases the risk of voter intimidation and fraud. Harvesters, also known as ‘politiqueras’ in Texas or ‘boleteros’ in Florida, are sometimes paid by campaigns to collect absentee ballots. Such practices expose voters to potential coercion and manipulation.

Documented Cases and Need for Reforms

Eggers provides multiple examples of where mail-in voting has failed. The U.S. Election Assistance Commission reported severe issues, such as the non-receipt of ballots during the April 2020 Wisconsin primary and the June 2020 D.C. primary. Similarly, three large tubs of absentee ballots were found undistributed in a mail-processing facility.

Do you think the Democrats will pull the same tricks this November?
