(PatrioticPost.com)- The attempt by Elon Musk to take control of Twitter has prompted his mother to express her worries for her son’s wellbeing.
During her appearance on “CBS Mornings” on Thursday, Maye Musk was asked about Elon’s safety, and she responded by saying that when she sees all of the malicious comments on Twitter, “I really do worry about him, yes.”
Musk told Gayle King, that although she has three children, “he’s the one I’m worried about, a mother always worries about her children,” Musk said.
After the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX tweeted, “If I die under mysterious circumstances, it’s been nice knowin’ ya,” his mother, who is 74 years old, wrote, “That is not funny.”
Concerned about a large number of fake accounts on Twitter, Elon Musk announced last week that he was “putting on hold” his $44 billion deal to acquire the platform.
His mom said that only yesterday, she was tweeting out all of the bots that have seven followers but 1,000 likes, and they are all malicious comments.
When his mother was asked if she ever gave her son any advice about running a business, she revealed that she had cautioned him against beginning a company that manufactured both electric cars and spacecraft at the same time.
Maye recalled the exchange with a chuckle and said, “I said just choose one.”
She added, “As you can see, he clearly does not pay attention to what I say.”
Maye Musk also stated that she does not recommend that her outspoken son, the wealthiest man in the world, tone down his online rhetoric.
She advised that one must take responsibility for everything that one says.
The nutritionist recently set a new record for herself by becoming the oldest model to ever appear on the cover of “Sports Illustrated” magazine’s annual swimsuit issue.
Musk said to Gayle King that she is “unstoppable” and just getting started.
Musk reportedly told King that the secret to happiness at her age is that “you don’t mix with nasty people anymore.”
“Don’t tolerate that.”
