(PatrioticPost.com)- During a Twitter Spaces discussion over the weekend, Elon Musk revealed that his safety is at risk.
In his roughly two-hour discussion, Musk admitted, “the risk of something bad happening or literally even being shot is quite significant,” joking that he wasn’t planning to do any “open-air car parades.”
During Saturday’s Twitter Spaces discussion, the platform’s new owner talked about his plans for Twitter and emphasized the importance of free speech.
Musk explained that we have to fight hard to preserve freedom of speech because has not been a default position historically. “Controlled speech is the default,” he explained, “not free speech.”
On Friday, independent journalist Matt Taibbi released the first round of “The Twitter Files,” which featured the internal documents that revealed Twitter’s censorship of the New York Post’s October 2020 report on the contents of Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop.
While the first release of the Twitter Files hinted at the FBI’s involvement in informing Twitter of a possible data hack involving Hunter Biden, the information Taibbi released didn’t get into detail about it.
But in a Twitter thread on Tuesday, Taibbi revealed that before he received the first installment of the Twitter Files, the company’s general counsel, former FBI general counsel Jim Baker, was “vetting” the documents before their release without informing Elon Musk.
If Jim Baker’s name sounds familiar, it should.
He was at the heart of the FBI’s so-called “investigation” into the Trump/Russia collusion claims initially presented to the FBI by the Clinton campaign.
According to Taibbi, after they discovered that Baker was interfering with the release of the documents, Elon Musk fired him.
In discussing the first release of the Twitter Files, Musk said during his Twitter Spaces discussion that during the 2020 presidential election, Twitter not only acted as a de facto arm of the Democrat Party but also worked to export its leftwing politics to the rest of the world.
Musk added that after Matt Taibbi and journalist Bari Weiss publish their reports on the Twitter Files, a complete document dump will be made available to the public.
