(PatrioticPost.com)- Following the left-wing media’s mocking response to President Donald Trump’s announcement of his own private blog, designed to bypass his permanent bans on social media websites, the former president has called for the “corrupt social media companies” to pay a price for their policies of censorship.
In a statement issued by the former president, Trump said that he had been denied his First Amendment right to free speech because the left wants to silence the truth.
“What Facebook, Twitter, and Google have done is a total disgrace and an embarrassment to our Country. Free Speech has been taken away from the President of the United States because the Radical Left Lunatics are afraid of the truth, but the truth will come out anyway, bigger and stronger than ever before. The People of our Country will not stand for it! These corrupt social media companies must pay a political price, and must never again be allowed to destroy and decimate our Electoral Process,” the statement reads.

The statement also followed a decision by the Facebook Oversight Board to upheld the social media platform’s decision to ban President Donald Trump from its platform. The board was set up to analyze the decision and provide an opinion back to Facebook’s leadership about whether the ban was legitimate and fair – and you can guess what they concluded.
Nick Clegg, former Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and current Vice President of Global Affairs and Communications, said that the decision to ban Trump was “necessary and right.” He added that he is “pleased the board has recognized that the unprecedented circumstances justified the exceptional measure we took.”
But…does it?
The Oversight Board added that it was “not appropriate for Facebook to impose the indeterminate and standardless penalty of indefinite suspension,” and called on Facebook to review the matter again within the next six months to create “proportionate policies that promote public safety and respect freedom of expression.”
It’s probably safe to say that they’re not going to be letting President Trump back onto the platform any time soon…even if he runs for president again, and wins.
