Democrat Resigns After Attacking Tim Scott

( A Texas Democrat who launched a racist attack against Black Republican Senator Tim Scott, branding him an “Oreo” for refusing to support the Democrats’ extremist agenda, resigned from his position as the Lamar County Democratic Party chair on Tuesday.

Gary O’Connor announced his resignation in a statement this week, and apologized for using the racist slur to describe the popular Republican senator.

The term “Oreo” is a slut that refers to a Black person who is “white on the inside.”

And they say the Republicans are racist?

“I am deeply and sincerely sorry for my inappropriate and hurtful use of racist term I used to describe Sen. Tim Scott on my personal Facebook page,” he told the Washington Examiner. “It was insensitive, and I have embarrassed myself and my party by its use.”

Who wants to bet he was told to say this by the party, and that he wouldn’t be apologizing if he wasn’t forced to?

“As a result, I feel compelled to offer my resignation as chair of the Lamar County Democratic Party for consideration by the County Executive Committee,” he continued.

O’Connor launched the racist attack against Senator Scott after the Republican legislator criticized President Joe Biden’s speech to a sparsely-attended joint session of Congress last week. Scott gave a rebuttal speech to Biden’s first address to Congress that slammed the Democratic leader as divisive and extreme.

And you know Democrats don’t like it when Black Americans don’t toe their line.

It’s not the first time that Scott has been targeted by racial abuse, either, having been referred to as an “Uncle Tim” – a reference to the racist slur “Uncle Tom.”
