Damning New Report Comes Out About Kamala Harris

(PatrioticPost.com)- It’s not exactly a new revelation that Vice President Kamala Harris is doing a poor job.

In fact, of all the stories that have been written about her time as the second in command – and there have been a lot of them – you’d be hard-pressed to find more than a handful that have praised the work she’s done.

So, the fact that The New York Times published a new report this week that says she’s not doing a good job is hardly news in and of itself. What makes The Times report noteworthy, though, is just how far it went to point out that Harris seems to be in over her head, to say the least.

The three reporters who wrote the story – Peter Baker, Katie Rogers and Zolan Kanno-Youngs – spoke to “dozens of Democrats in the White House, on Capitol Hill and around the nation. The overarching conclusion that the authors came to after having all these conversations is that Harris simply hasn’t been able to rise up and establish herself as a potential future leader of the Democratic Party.

The reporters wrote that one of the most telling signs of this sentiment was that when they spoke with staff members in Harris’ office searching for people they might speak to as sources who could speak to the accomplishments Harris has achieved in office thus far, they referred them to people who didn’t really have glowing things to say about the vice president.

As the authors wrote:

“Even some Democrats whom her own advisers referred reporters to for supportive quotes confided privately that they had lost hope in her.”

There were many damning and telling anecdotes included in The Times’ piece. One outlined how Hillary Clinton – who many would think would naturally support Harris since she’s a proponent of women taking on high political office – said she believed that Harris simply lacked the “political instincts” to win a presidential primary race.

Those thoughts played out back in 2020 when Harris thought she stood a good chance of becoming the Democratic nominee for president. She was so confident in her ability to do so that she lashed out rather harshly at Joe Biden during Democratic debates. Now, she’s serving as Biden’s vice president.

Many political pundits believe that Harris accepted Biden’s offer to be his running mate because she thought it would help bring her better national notoriety in preparation for a renewed run at the White House for herself in the future.

For two years, Harris has proved that she has no idea what she’s doing on such a large political stage, and now many Democrats are very fearful about a future that could include Harris as their party’s leader.

The Times’ authors pointed out that this is going to be at the top of many voters’ minds if Biden announces a re-election bid for 2024 with Harris returning as his running mate. They wrote:

“Now, with Mr. Biden appearing all but certain to run again, the concern over Ms. Harris has shifted to whether she will be a political liability for the ticket. Given that Mr. Biden at 80 is already the oldest president in American history, Republicans would most likely make Ms. Harris, who is 58, a prime attack line, arguing that a vote for Mr. Biden may in fact be a vote to put her in the Oval Office.”
