Comer Slaps White House Counsel With Subpoena

In connection with President Biden’s mishandling of secret materials, House Oversight Chairman James Comer has summoned former White House Counsel Dana Remus for a deposition.

The House Oversight Committee reported that five White House workers were engaged in Biden’s stolen confidential information case. Biden took SCIF-designated documents and inappropriately kept them at the Penn Biden Center. Biden also placed secret documents in his garage close to his Corvette, where his son Hunter had access to the sensitive data.

The National Archives is covering up for Biden after nine boxes of records were stolen from his lawyer’s Boston office.

When closing out Biden’s office at the Penn Biden Center in November 2022, his attorney reportedly came across Obama-Biden administration records in a locked cupboard while packing files. Kathy Chung, Biden’s former VP assistant, testified to the House Oversight Committee regarding his improper handling of confidential information after he left office. White House Counsel Dana Remus entrusted Chung, as stated by Chung in her testimony, with recovering boxes of secret papers from the Penn Biden Center as early as May 2022.

As reported by the House Oversight Committee on November 2, 2022, classified documents were discovered at the Penn Biden Center, providing additional information regarding the number of White House personnel implicated in Biden’s mishandling of secret materials. Evidence compiled by the Republican-led Committee indicates the chain of events at issue began in 2021 and involved at least five members of the White House staff. Regarding the finding of materials at Penn Biden Center, the Committee has uncovered evidence that contradicts crucial points from the White House and President Biden’s personal attorney’s testimony, such as the placement and protection of the secret documents.

Many Biden apologists contrast Trump’s handling of documents with Biden’s, saying Trump refused to give them back while Biden did so immediately.
