Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò’s is warning of an ongoing and growing genocide against Christians in Syria, and not everyone has heard about it. The former Vatican diplomat is pointing to U.S.-NATO interventions as the catalyst for violence that has claimed over 1,000 innocent lives in what appears to be a targeted elimination of religious minorities.
At a glance:
• Christian Solidarity International has issued a Genocide Warning for Syria following the massacre of over 1,000 Alawite Muslim civilians
• Jihadist group HTS (Organization for the Liberation of the Levant) overthrew President Bashar al-Assad’s regime
• Eyewitnesses report pro-government forces conducting door-to-door killings of Alawite men and families
• Archbishop Viganò blames U.S.-NATO regime change efforts for sparking Christian genocide
• Viganò calls for Catholics worldwide to pray and fast during Lent for persecuted Christians in Syria
Christian Slaughter Linked to Western Intervention
The situation in Syria has deteriorated rapidly as jihadist forces overtake government strongholds, leading to systematic violence against religious minorities. Just like Tulsi Gabbard said would happen.
Footage and reports coming from the region reveal horrific scenes of violence against Christians and Alawites, with entire families being targeted in door-to-door executions by extremist militants.
Violence erupted after a coalition of rebel groups led by the Organization for the Liberation of the Levant (HTS) successfully overthrew President Bashar al-Assad’s regime. Christian Solidarity International has now issued a formal Genocide Warning following the massacre of over 1,000 Alawite Muslim civilians by pro-government militias in coastal regions.
Viganò Condemns Global Silence on Atrocities
Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò has been vocal in condemning the silence from democratic nations and Catholic leadership regarding the brutal treatment of Christians in Syria. The outspoken prelate directly connects the violence to regime change operations supported by the previous American administration, NATO, and the European Union.
“Christian Solidarity International has issued a Genocide Warning for the Syrian Arab Republic following the massacre of over 1,000 Alawite Muslim civilians by pro-government militias,” reports Christian Solidarity International in their urgent bulletin, confirming Viganò’s warnings about the scale of violence.
Former French Prime Minister François Fillon also described the attacks as “a systematic operation to eliminate Alawite and Christian populations,” echoing Viganò’s assessment that religious minorities are being specifically targeted.
The massacre comes after the interim government called for volunteers to combat “remnants of the regime,” resulting in widespread violence against civilians beginning March 7.
It’s getting so bad that the Western world, at least in the form of charitable efforts, will soon need to step up its game.
