Bush Compares 9/11 To… Capitol Protest?

(PatrioticPost.com)- We thought this was an important story to go over again, just in case you missed it.

During the 9/11 memorial events last week, former President George W. Bush gave a speech in which he tried to compare 9/11 to January 6. The former president made his speech at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Pennsylvania and recalled what happened on that day in 2001.

In a distasteful effort to conflate the horrors of 9/11 with supporters of former President Donald Trump, he then claimed that there is “growing evidence” that there is a danger of a 9/11-style event not just from outside of our country, but from “violence that gathers within.”

He’s talking about the January 6 protests in Washington, D.C.

Bush then said that there is “little cultural overlap” between violent extremists domestically and abroad, but said that they both have “disdain for pluralism” in their “disregard for human life.”

Is he talking about leftists or Trump supporters? 2020 Antifa riots or January 6 protests?

He should just come out and say it.

Bush, who is one of the most controversial American presidents globally owing to his decision to start the war in Afghanistan, said that America’s politics have become a “naked appeal to anger, fear and resentment,” but didn’t have the guts to say what he was really talking about.

You can watch his speech here.

If there is any recent event that can even come somewhat close to what happened on 9/11, it’s not the January 6 riot that saw left-wing and right-wing protesters breach the Capitol Building while in the company of elderly protesters.

It was the riots that caused $2 billion in damage last year.
