As presumed US President-elect Joe Biden continues to announce potential members of his cabinet, one nominee, proposed Budget Director Neera Tanden, is making waves on social media. While she currently serves as the president of the Center for American Progress, Tanden has a long record of advising Democratic presidential campaigns. In 2011, she called for the people of Libya to reimburse the United States for its months of bombing before it overthrew Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. Tanden also voiced support for unproven Russiagate theories. Meanwhile, her disdain for Senator Bernie Sanders is no secret. But now she has been found to be deleting hundreds of tweets, as many speculate Tanden is looking to cozy up to Republican senators because she knows she will need their vote for her confirmation. Former Pentagon official Michael Maloof weighs in.
