Biden Sends Away Top Official To Meet With Saudi Prince

(PatrioticPost.com)- On Monday, the Biden White House announced that controversial national security adviser Jake Sullivan – a proponent of the debunked Trump-Russia collusion conspiracy theory – will be traveling to the Middle East to meet with Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The meeting will be focused on the ongoing civil war in Yemen.

Emily Horne, a spokeswoman for the National Security Council, said that Sullivan plans to travel with Brett McGurk, the National Security Council Coordinator for North Africa and the Middle East, along with Tim Lenderking, the United States Special Envoy for Yemen.

Horne revealed that Sullivan will meet with senior leaders to discuss a “range of regional and global challenges.”

One such challenge will be attempting to negotiate a cease-fire between Houthi rebels in Yemen and Saudi Arabia.

Sullivan is also expected to speak with Khalid bin Salman, the brother of the crown prince who also serves as the deputy defense minister for Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia’s intervention in Yemen was launched in 2015 as part of a coalition of nine countries. It came after Yemen President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi called for military assistance after he was ousted from his position by the Houthi movement.

According to a report by The Associated Press, the Biden administration has been reluctant to interact with the Saudi Arabian prince following the release of a CIA report earlier this year suggesting that he probably approved the killing of Jamal Khashoggi, a Washington Post journalist, in 2018.

Remember how everyone dawned over him being a “moderate” Muslim leader?

Military support was offered to Saudi Arabia under the Trump White House and even under the Obama administration, but quickly after taking office, Biden announced that he would be ending offensive operations in the region…even though Saudi Arabia is fighting Iran-backed terrorists.

We’ll report back if the Biden administration makes any inroads on this.

We’ll see…
