(PatrioticPost.com)- According to reports, in his State of the Union address last week, President Joe Biden mispronounced the name of a man who was killed by Memphis Police Department officers.
Joe Biden noticeably referred to Tyre Nichols as “Tyler Nichols” in the speech and used the case of a black man who was killed by five black police officers in Tennessee to advocate for police reform.
According to NPR, five Memphis police officers are accused of second-degree murder concerning Nichols’ death.
According to reports, Memphis Police Chief Cerelyn “C.J.” Davis was once fired from the Atlanta Police Department over claims that she shielded the husband of a police sergeant from being arrested.
Terrill Marion “T.C.” Crane was accused of creating child-abuse videos, and according to a Justice Department press release from 2009 announcing his plea, the defendant exploited numerous young girls, and that unforgivable criminal conduct went unchecked for years even after being brought to the attention of the Atlanta Police Department.
According to a local news report, former Police Chief Richard Pennington initially demoted Davis, who was a major at the time of the incident, to lieutenant. She was fired but later hired by Atlanta’s Civil Service Board.
According to a report, the ex-girlfriend of one of the Memphis police officers detained and charged in Nichols’ death is a subject of rumors that the Memphis Police Department is allegedly looking into.
A recent report re-examines the issue of the Memphis Police Department’s officers’ involvement with violent street gangs that have long been under investigation. Due to Tyre Nichols’ fatal beating, it has recently come to light that some of the officers involved are Vice Lords members.
Three of the five police officers may have had alleged connections to, or even be full-fledged members of, the Vice Lords street gang. They may have been carrying out a gang-ordered attack on Nichols.
